Obituary for Charles Raymond Purifoy
Charles Raymond "Charlie" Purifoy, age 69, of Houston, TX died Sunday, September 17, 2017. He was born January 29,1948 to the late Raymond A. Purifoy and Pauline Chambliss Purifoy in Bearden, AR.
He was a retired millwright/electrician. He honorably served in the US Army from 1968-1970, and was stationed for one year of that time in Germany.
He is survived by a daughter Courtney B. Young (Adam) and granddaughter Maleah of New Edinburg, AR. A stepson Danny Bartow, stepdaughter Kara Bartow and her children, Kaden Baron and Karis Williams of Houston,TX. A brother Jimmy Purifoy of Houston and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He is also survived by lifelong friend and caregiver to the family, Mike Wood.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Drill James (DJ) Purifoy, a sister Kathy Vaughan Bean, and his beloved grandparents Drill and Lessie Chambliss.
Funeral arrangements are pending,
