Condolence From: Ed Windsor
Condolence: Dear Kevin & Family,
Please accept my heart-felt condolences to you, Loan, and the entire family on the passing of your Dad. Thanks a million for your beautifully done .pdf of your Dad's life.
I associated regularly with your Father for a couple of years in Bangkok in the mid-1960's, but through letters and (later) emails, we've been in touch for a lifetime. When you lose an old friend it feels like you lose a part of yourself and your own past as well. Your dad was that kind of friend.
In Bangkok, he was the calmest of our robust bunch of "scotch-heads" (as I recall, he liked his Martini's as well). I always believed that although he had the least amount to say, he was the most substantive one among us. When he did speak, everyone listened. After he met your Mother, it became immediately obvious to all of us how devoted he was to her and his growing family. I know how proud he was of all of you.
If there's any way I can lessen the burden of his passing please feel free to contact me. I continue to search for old photos of our Thailand days.
Warm regards,
Ed Windsor
