Obituary for Loren Lee Henderson

Loren Lee Henderson, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on September 15th with his wife of 50 years, Loan Henderson, by his side. Son of Grady Lee Henderson and Violet Thornbrough, he was born in Clinton, Oklahoma, and moved with his parents and brother, Buddy, and sister, Patsy, to Amarillo, and ultimately settled in Wichita Falls, Texas; where he graduated high-school in 1948. Loren served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and went on to a successful international career as a civil-engineer. Loren was the kind of husband who was patient and kind, the kind of father who taught by setting a good example, the kind of man that one could depend on . . . he was a soft-spoken gentleman.

Loren is preceded in death by his father, Grady; mother, Violet; and brother, Buddy. Loren is survived by his wife, Loan; sons, Mark, Greg, Jeff, Kevin, and daughters-in-law, Lynn, Shelly, Arlene, Gina; grandchildren, Bubba, Trisha, Deana, Heather, Grant, Lauren, Bryce, Hunter, Paige; great-grandchildren; and dear sister, Patsy.
