Obituary for Karen Elaine Reigle (Grubaugh)

On Sunday, September 3, 2017, Dr. Karen Elaine Reigle (Grubaugh), wife, mother, daughter and sister, passed away suddenly at the age of 67 years. She was born August 21, 1950 in Alma, Michigan. Karen will be forever remembered by her husband Fred and first husband Paul, her children, Jonathan (Lisa), Anna (Jason) Fuqua and Benjamin (Jennifer), and by her brother and sisters Linda (David), Joanne (Tom), Brenda (Rick) Polum, Laurie (Ron) Staten and Keith (Anita). She is preceded in death by sister, Barbara Loeck. Karen will also be forever remembered by her four grandchildren: Elizabeth, Alexander, Ava and Clara. Karen had her Doctorate in Human Development and over the course of her life worked as a Mother, Church Choir Director, Social Worker, Nanny, and Day Care Owner and Operator. Throughout her life she lived in numerous states and two foreign countries enjoyed many interests including lifelong learning, reading, music, writing, collecting hedgehogs, hosting teas, and traveling.

Because of the many places and people who knew and loved Karen, there will be two memorial services. Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 4647 Preston Ave., Pasadena, TX 77505 with a luncheon to follow AND Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at Genesis The Church, 309 N. Main St., Royal Oak, MI 48067 with a luncheon to follow.
