Obituary for J.B. Bouse

J.B.  Bouse
John Bennett Bouse (J.B.) passed away on August 31, 2017 at the Houston Methodist San Jacinto Hospital in Baytown, Texas after a short illness. He was born on September 29, 1919 in Port Arthur, Texas. His parents were Levi and Emma Mae (Dees) Bouse. J.B. attended Galena Park Senior High School where he played center for the Yellow Jackets and graduated in 1937. He married Willie Faye Wallace on June 27, 1939. J.B. joined the US Navy in 1944 and served in the Pacific as a machinist mate until the end of World War II. He was a member of the volunteer fire department in Galena Park and was a Master Electrician in Galena Park for many years. He retired from Shell Oil after 39 years and was a Mason for 50 years. J.B. was the proud father of two girls (Judy and Darla) and one boy (Benny). He was preceded in death by his mother and father and his wife Willie Faye of 59 years as well as by his sister, Betty Elizabeth Bouse Von Bieberstein and brothers-in-law Earlene Robert Graham and Raymond Hambrick. He is survived by all of his children Judy Elaine Hill and husband Jimmy, John Bennett Bouse and wife Cindy, and Darla Faye Rowan and husband Bill, by grandchildren Jon Robert Hill and wife Susan, Carolyn Teresa Duncan and husband Keith, Lisa Renee Bouse Rowe, Joanie Elaine Hill, Emma Louise Rhodes and husband Charles, John Bennett Bouse III and wife Jaila, and William David Selman and wife Paulette, by great-grandchildren William, David, Roya and husband Kevin, Seth and wife Kacie, Paul and wife Jamie, Timothy, Abigail, Anna, Adam, Evan, Alec, Edan, Amme, Ashley, Megan and husband Paul, Zachary, and Bennett, by great-great-grandchildren Wyatt, Maddie, Mason, and Levi, by sisters Imojean Graham and Jannie Hambrick, and by brother-in-law Vernon Von Bieberstein. He leaves behind many, many close friends. The viewing will be at the Rosewood Funeral Home in Pasadena from 5 to 7 on Wednesday, September 6. The graveside service will be at Midway Cemetery, Livingston, Texas, 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 7, 2017.
