Obituary for
Henry Isaac Wright Jr.
Henry Isaac Wright, Jr., 81, was born on October 14, 1935. He made his transition into heaven peacefully at home on Friday, August 25, 2017 in Huntsville, Texas. Henry was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Melva Wright; his brother, Larry Wright; sister, Dorothy Ratisseau and sister, Patsy Ann Harris.
Henry leaves behind his loving son, Jerry Wright and wife, Terri; two grandchildren, Tyler and Lauren Wright; his sister, Bobbie Jean Quagline (Jack) and a host of nieces and nephews along with numerous other loving family members and friends.
Henry fought a long hard battle with Parkinson’s. If you knew him you know it did not slow him down. He was so strong and determined to continue a regular life. He would attempt and conquer many things every day. He still worked out, lifting weights and using his exercise bike, almost daily. He lived life with a positive attitude, not letting the little things get him down.
He lived a simple life. He was fortunate enough to be able to retire and live a good life on Lake Conroe. If you knew Henry you know that he LOVED to fish. He would fish day and night if he could. He never let Parkinson’s slow him down. If you stopped by for a visit he would try to get you to go fishing. He truly enjoy sitting on his pier fishing and visiting with friends.
He loved his grandchildren. From the time they were born he adored them both. He loved spending time with them and teaching them to fish, camp, search for arrow heads and hike the national forest. He built forts, zip lines, treehouses, and took them riding on almost anything from lawnmowers to fertilizer spreads. He truly loved spending time with them. He was a very loving and caring man.
A special thanks to Dora Avelar, his wonderful caregiver, for your loving care and generosity, and for loving him like your own father. He and we are truly blessed that you came into our lives. And many thanks go out to his other caregivers and his numerous friends and neighbors that visited him, checked on him, took him fishing. Your kindness and generosity made him so happy. (Lester, Don, Shannon, Quita, Robert, Gene and many others)
