Condolences

Condolence From: Jessica
Condolence: I am so sorry to have read of your loss. Please accept my sincere condolences. Something that I have personally found to be of great comfort is what the Bible says at John 5:28, 29 as well as Revelation 21:4. These verses show us that soon God is going to bring about a resurrection of our loved ones as well as do away with all causes we have for suffering including sickness and death. Knowing this has always comforted me and it is my sincere hope that these thoughts comfort your family as well. Again I am so sorry for your loss.

Condolence From: Sarah Welch
Condolence: I met Patsy Daw at Sam Houston football games. My husband had played football with Ken Daw before I met him. Patsy was always delightful to visit with; always smiling and always talking about travel. I have a travel business and had booked Ken and Patsy on ski trips in the past. Just last year, Patsy contacted me about a cruise. She wanted to cruise the Norwegian Fjords, but did not have anyone to go with her, so I volunteered! We went in May 2016 and cruised out of Rotterdam, Netherlands on Holland America Line. We treated ourselves to a suite and it was wonderful. Patsy enjoyed it to the fullest and spent hours at night on our balcony, wrapped in blankets, just watching the scenery go by and listening to the waves. It was a beautiful experience and I was so happy that I was able to share it with her. Sweetlady!

Condolence From: Dave/Bo and Dorothy Tullos & Family
Condolence: My first memory of Patsy goes back to the 1960's at Humble Elementary. Our oldest son was beginning first grade in a classroom across the hall from Patsy's class. I remember how impressed I was with her relationship with her students and co-workers. And, I remember those wigs and wondered why she chose to cover her beautiful hair!

Through the years our paths would cross as we both worked throughout the district on different campuses. My kids were never lucky enough to be in her class, but one son treasures memories of having her as his counselor.

Not sure when our working relationship blossomed into a true life-long friendship. Over the years we have traveled many miles throughout Texas and adjoining states. We have shared holidays, laughter, and tears.

Patsy and I were both babies of our families being born late in life to our parents. I think that was a common bond that we had.

I will treasure the memories, dear friend.

I'll bet you are already organizing a tour of Heaven. Be happy. Love you.

Condolence From: Lois Gibbs
Condolence: Patsy Kelly Daw and Lois Graham Gibbs were best friends, 75 yrs., since 1st grade at Huntsville, Texas, Elementary School. We were both born April 1936. Patsy on the 1st and me on the 15th, making her the oldest, please don't tell her I told you our age difference.

Patsy and I roomed together after college, 1964, as young teachers in Baytown, Texas. We double dated our future husbands. She dated Ken Daw and I dated O'Neal Gibbs.

Patsy and Ken were our children's, Lisa and Sam, God Parents.

We always met 2 or 3 times yearly to visit or to travel. We knew their friends and family as they also knew our friends and family.

Patsy was the youngest child of 5 and immediately the apple of her family's eye.

Patsy was always optimistic, happy, curious of everything, especially: nature, animals, travels, teaching, God, helping others, learning, family friends, church, and many other things I can't think of.

Patsy had a magic about her. She always made those she liked and loved feel as if they were her best friend. And when she talked to you, you were her best friend.

Patsy taught me to be a better person, friend, parent, wife and Christian. She always lived and practiced her Christian beliefs all through out her life.

Our family will miss her dreadfully.

Love, Blessing and hugs,

O'Neal, Lois. Lisa, Doug, Chip, James, Meredith, Chase, Douglas, Travis, Sam, Cathy, Shavawn, Doug III,

Condolence From: Susan Levonius
Condolence: Patsy was one of the dearest people I have ever known. Her smile and soothing demeanor meant the world to me and so many others who worked with her at Humble ISD. I always knew her students' tests would be turned in perfectly and she would share her knowledge and wisdom with any of the new Counselors and Diagnosticians who joined the district. She also lended an ear and gave me support when I, as a new Mother, needed a word of advise or a simple vote of confidence as I learned to be a better parent. I know God holds you in the palm of His hand now and you have found peace and joy with your dear husband, Ken again. Love you, my precious friend.

Condolence: What a great lady Patsy was. She was a caring counselor, friend and mentor. I could never have made it through my first months at Humble Elem. without her. Mr. Cunningham had that accident, and a green AP was left to hold down the fort. With her help, the school ran like clockwork as it always had. Ahhh Leveata, you are right, her sweet voice and precious laugh soothed so many!

Condolence From: Myra Bruns
Condolence: I knew Patsy from working with her at the school district. After we retired, it seemed like she showed up to make my day better every now and then. We were visiting my son and family in MD and I heard this voice saying, Myra, Myra. Who could know me here, no one but Patsy Daw and friends. She always made me feel like running into me was the best thing that happened to her that day. Her sweet voice and persona will be greatly missed. What a special lady.

Condolence: A good person, friend to many, mentor to students and counselors. I feel blessed to have made the list.
May Jesus give each person grieving patsy's death the peace I know she would want each of us to have.
