Condolence From: Keith Karn

Condolence: Rick was my first cousin. Both he and Connie were a lot older than me and my brother Jim. My dad, Pete was the youngest of the 3 Karn boys. I remember Rick and Connie as being really cool older kids, when they were in high school and I was still a grade schooler. Their dad, my uncle Norm was quite a guy. We went to he and aunt Dorthie's house in Huntington Woods many Christmases. Norm also owned a Nash/Rambler dealership in Royal Oak, and also maybe Hudsons. I often wondered what happened to Rick and had heard that he was in TX. It looks like he had a great life down there. My dad, Pete and he were pretty close i think. Pete passed away in Dec, 2014 at 91. Gramma Pearl, the 3 boys' mom, made it to 97. Great to see all the photos and i remember him when i look at his face, even at 84! Best wishes to all my 2nd, 3rd and 4th Karn cousins down in TX. If anyone has any geneology records from Canada, where grandpa Bill and gramma Pearl were born, i'd love to see them. I did find a photo of grandpa Bill's grave in Fairview cemetery in Manton, MI. He passed away in 1966 while i was in the Navy. I went thru there on my motorcycle trip in 2016, but couldn't find the actual gravesite. thank you, Keith Karn
