Obituary for Justin A. Novosad

Justin A. Novosad
Justin A. Novosad was born January 31, 1953 in Houston, Texas to William J. and Anna F. McCombs Novosad who have preceded him in death. He peacefully passed away June 28, 2017 at M.D. Anderson Cancer Hospital in Houston, Texas surrounded by family. He is survived by his high school sweetheart Kathy Cummings Novosad. Justin and Kathy both graduated from E. L. Furr High School in 1971. They married February 6, 1972 and had just celebrated 45 years of marriage. Sons- Justin Aaron and Edward Novosad, Grandson- Jacob Novosad all of Crosby, Texas. He is also survived by sister, Carolyn Sue Demaret, and brothers, Billy and Clarence Novosad of Houston, Texas, also many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was a very loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and neighbor, putting their needs before his. He was an Honorary Life Member of the Texas Congress of Parents and Teachers. Justin started working at an early age throwing Houston Chronicle newspapers and held various summer and afterschool jobs. His careers were with Weiners Department Store, Armco Steel, Exxon Pipeline, Genesis Pipeline and finally ExxonMobil Baytown Refinery. To this day he maintained life-long friendships and considers them as family. He was a hard-working man always willing and able to help anyone with their projects and volunteered countless hours to his neighborhood. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, antique cars, boating, fishing, surfing and most of all being with family. His most enjoyable times were building things for Kathy, working on cars and boats with Justin Aaron and Edward and repairing things for Jacob to ride. Justin fought a long and hard 9 ½ year battle with Mucosal Melanoma with the help of many doctors, nurses and staff at M. D. Anderson Cancer Hospital. The family would like to especially thank Dr. Adi Diab and his assistant Natalie Jackson for their loving care and support. We will be forever grateful.
