Obituary for Carl Allen Williams

Carl A. Williams, 72, of Brazos County, Texas peacefully slipped away into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on June 20, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Carl, or “C.A.” as he was known to some, was born on August 10, 1944 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Houston, Texas to Allen and Velma Williams of Humble.
Preceded in death by his father, Carl is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Jeannie; sons: Greg and wife Lisa, David and wife Missy. Five grandchildren: Amanda and husband Jonathan Pfeiffer, Clayton and wife Shannon, Nicholas, Logan and Cayde. Three great-grandchildren (with another on the way): Levi, Lettie, Samuel and Emma Faith; mother: Velma Williams; brothers and sister: Kirk, Tom, Mark and Sandy, their spouses, as well as many other family members and friends.
Carl was a retired commercial construction superintendent but remained physically active throughout his retirement by gardening, building furniture and clearing farmland for others. And although his disease slowly debilitated him physically, Carl refused to slow down and remained actively engaged and “in charge” of his last construction project up until his death: the construction of a small new home for his wife to be used after his passing.
C.A.’s character and memory will be cherished forever. May the Lord of Peace and Mercy hold and keep him until we are all someday reunited.
