Condolences

Condolence From: Scott Wildey
Condolence: So sorry for your loss. I played H.S. football with David, and we both played on the offensive line together. We had some amazing memories (since middle school) in such a short amount of time. He was known for living, and playing, outside of himself. We he set his mind to something, it happened. He will be missed.

Condolence From: Dickson Woods
Condolence: I played football with David back in high school in Kingwood, and a fellow player just made me aware of David's passing. I am so sorry for the loss. David was a special man. The size of his smile was only matched by the size of his heart. I am proud to have known him and was my honor to have been his teammate on the offensive line.

Condolence From: Giles Walger and the Marines and Sailors of V12
Condolence: Stephanie, Rachel, Guy and Judy, the Marines and Sailors of 1st Battalion, 2d Marines pass our condolences to you and your family in Texas. David was an indirect member of our team as he mentored out Intelligence Officer and his section prior to our battalion's deployment to Afghanistan. None of our accomplishments would have been possible without David. Prior to deployment, I met with him often at 6th Marines, as we fell under the regiment at the time. I was always thankful for his willingness to take time out of his schedule for the battalion staff and particularly, our intelligence officer. After the battalion's deployment and the regiment's return from California, David and your family became one of my special prayers. Y'all remain so. I will miss him. I am a better person for knowing David.
Semper Fidelis! G.D. Walger, LtCol, USMC

Condolence: To Stephanie, Rachael, and Dave's many loved ones, I hope you find some comfort in the knowledge that Dave will be remembered with fondness and laughter by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. I personally will remember his welcoming nature and skills with the smoker. Whenever Dave was around you could be sure there would be good food and laughter.
