Obituary for John Alan Fuselier

John Alan Fuselier passed way January 31, 2017 after a short illness in Humble, Texas. He was born November 12, 1927 in Eunice, Louisiana, to Emar Fuselier and Lazia Rider.

After stints in the Marine Corps and the Navy, Jay embarked on his culinary career. He served as Executive Chef and Food and Beverage manager at a variety of major hotel chains and private country clubs. He was very active in his retirement years. He worked steadily into his 80s.

He was a non-Hodgkins Lymphoma survivor, and valiantly overcame several health challenges with a positive attitude and maintained his unique sense of humor throughout.

John is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sue Brown Fuselier, and children John Alan Fuselier Jr. of Springfield, Missouri, Elizabeth Michele Fuselier Buck & husband Michael of Spring, Texas. He is also survived by step-children Duane Wilson of Dallas, Texas, Deborah Stolle & husband Bryan of California, and grandchildren Christie Beal, Courtney Wilson, Jonathan Pavlicek, Wilson Stolle, Jacob Stolle, and Matthew Buck.

He was preceded in death by his parents Emar and Lazia, his sisters Lorice and Bernice, and brothers Joseph and Gabriel.
