Obituary for
Paula Jane Davis (Whittington)
Paula Jane Whittington Davis was born October 12, 1927 in Overton, Texas. Paula loved to sing and dance as well as playing the piano. During WWII, in fact, she performed with the USO in East Texas. She was valedictorian of her high school senior class. She worked for a Dermatologist for many years and, due to her outgoing and likeable personality, had many friends throughout the years. She also enjoyed her time singing in the Church Choir and teaching Sunday school, and she truly loved to cook.
She lived in many places throughout her life, including Houston and Victoria, Texas; Russellville and Mountain View, Arkansas. She returned to Houston in 2013 and spent her remaining years residing at the “Isle at Kingwood Assisted Living”.
Mrs. Davis is preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Jackson “Jack” Davis; a Granddaughter, Jana Coffman; and a Great-Grandson, Christopher Chung.
Paula is survived by two children; daughter Donna Lee Davis Deversa and her husband Rod Deversa, a son Jack Paul Davis and his wife Patty Davis; Three grandchildren, Erin Willcutt and her husband Paul Ray Willcutt, Jonny Davis, and JJ Deversa and his wife Aurora Deversa. Five Great-Grandchildren; Allaina Willcutt, Leo Guerrero, Matthew Arellano, Sophia Deversa, Anthony Deversa. A Sister, Don Beth Junkin and her husband Fred Junkin; as well as numerous other family members.
Paula was an incredible mother and grandmother, and maintained her bright personality and incredible strength throughout her life, even in her later years when faced with multiple medical illnesses. She was and continues to be very much loved and will be deeply missed every day
