Obituary for Robert William Bass Sr.

Robert William Bass Sr.
ROBERT W. BASS, SR. peacefully passed away with his family at his side on August 23, 2016. Bob was born on June 25, 1930 in Foreman, Arkansas to Lealand William Bass and Edah Mae Pryor Bass. Bob graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown, Texas in 1949, where he was a star running back for the Ganders, and where he met his wife to be, Doralyn “Tinsey” Bass, who preceded him in death. He and Tinsey shared 59 wonderful years of marriage together. Bob played football with the Navy after graduation and had a 40 + year career in the NGL industry. He is survived by their four children: Robert W. Bass, Jr., Teresa Murry, James M. Bass, and Linda Quisenberry. He is also survived by his sisters Rose Ann Dacy and Mary Francis “Tammy” Fayle; son-in-law Dale Quisenberry, 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. The family takes comfort in knowing that Bob is with Tinsey and so many other loved ones who preceded him in death, including his parents, his sister Shirley Mae Ward, son-in-law Bill Murry, and granddaughter, Samantha Bass. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Rosewood Funeral Home in Humble, Texas, with a memorial service at the same location at 12:00 noon on Friday, August 26, 2016. A private burial will follow at Huffman Cemetery.
