Condolences

Condolence From: Keith Lyons
Condolence: I knew Jack in the early 80's by marrying his sister Sharon. Unfortunately, the marriage was short mainly due to me. Jack was really hard for me to get close to at the time.We were total opposites, but, he loved Sharon and 'tolerated' me.He had a MAJOR thing about keeping his truck (blue Ford P/U) ultimately clean, loved water skiing and deer hunting. After the divorce from Sharon, sadly, I never had any contact with him again or Sharon for that matter. I truly wish that I had kept in touch with him and the McElroy's! All my prayers! He is missed!

Condolence: The "what if's" are still tearing me up. I know you didn't like to ask for help but I wish you would have called me that night. I have enjoyed hearing the stories from people that are getting messages and signs from you. The best of all was the sponge bob hat you made sure Sherri Smith got on a day she really needed it. You always told us you were gonna mess with us after you left this life, like always, true to your word. Our lives will never be the same brother, I miss seeing you at least 5 days a week for 34 years, but I do hear you when I'm struggling at work, always giving me advice and reassuring me I can do this. I love and miss you so much. Until we see each other again, on my mind and in my heart forever.

Condolence: Uncle Jack, I still find it so hard to believe. Not a day goes by that I don't want to pick up the phone, and give you a call just to talk. I love how I could always talk to you about anything and everything; and you would listen the whole time. I am so glad I had you by my side for so long; and that Abigail got to see just how awesome you are. I know you are watching over us, smiling. There are no words to describe how I feel. You taught me so much in life, and for that I am forever grateful. I love you so much, and miss you even more. Until we meet again, my most favorite uncle. I love you.

Condolence: I was so sad to hear of Jacks passing. He was my first boyfriend when i moved to Texas back in 1979. I met him in English class at Pasadena High school. He was the cute boy who was always sleeping in class...lol but i fell for him and we became boyfriend and girlfriend. We spent time in San Leon at his parents beach house and at his parents home in Pasadena. He was very shy and sweet and could be very silly at times. We had great times together!! One time he rescued me from a huge roach that had me trapped in the bathroom...he practically broke the door open to get me out bc i was screaming and frozen in the corner...lol he was my hero that day!! We both went our seperate ways in life but I always thought of him and got to see him one last time about ten years ago. I will never forget him!! R.I.P. Jack!!

Condolence: I learned of many pranks Jack pulled on friends and family over the years. It reminded me of the prank pulled on me while working with Jack, Lorrie, and Mac. They rushed me out of the office one day. I return the next morning to find my desk, computer, files, and all wrapped in plastic (the heavy duty kind from the shop). It had multiple layers with a little note attached to my scissors saying 'you need these?' I'm glad to say that I had been 'pranked' by Jack (and Lorrie).

Condolence: Jack,
I didn't know you well. After attending the tribute to your life yesterday, I feel as if I've known you all my life; and wish I had.
Your presence was felt in the crowded Chapel filled with people who loved you.
Walter spoke fondly of you, telling funny stories. I bet you were grinning at us from Heaven wondering what all the fuss was about.
The fellowship following at your family home was heartwarming. More stories, memories, laughter; lots of laughter, and enough food to feed and army.
You were loved Jack and will be missed.

Condolence: There are no words to describe the heart ache and emptiness I feel since you left us Jack. I called you that night to thank you for everything you've taught me over the past 34 years, without you, I wouldn't be able to do the job I'm doing now. I'll always cherish our memories together, the good and the bad. You were mean when we were kids, spitting fritos on me off of the roof of the house, I still can't stand the smell of them. Turning the swing set over while i was swinging, hitting me in the head with a baseball bat, pushing me out of your tree....the list goes in and on. But we did become best friends and we knew we could always count on each other for anything, we always had each others backs. Your cherished turtles are being taken care of by Rene' except for one we gave to Jessica. Sherri was grat5to adopt your cat, she sleeps with her every night. And don't worry, we'll take care of Dad and call him every day. Rest in peace my sweet brother, tell Mom I love her. Until we see each other again, I love you.
