Condolence: She touched the lives of both of my girls and made a huge impression! Not only was she a wonderful voice teacher, she was also a great listener and advisor. I enjoyed several deep conversations myself with Melanie...she will truly be missed. I am also great flu to her for raising such wonderful children. Cara has shown many of Melanie's characteristics as a friend and confidant to my daughter! Bless this family and thank you Lord for Melanie's presence in our lives.

Condolence: I knew Melanie when we were students at Furman and even though we were a few years apart in age, she made a big impression on me with her friendship and her beautiful voice. She has left a wonderful legacy with her children and I am so happy that Katie is in our church choir - I see Melanie every time I look at her. My love and prayers go to her family.

Condolence: I remember Melanie and Dudley with love and respect. I think of them often, and always feel deep appreciation for the countless things that they did for their entire family, and the Kingwood community. Condolence: Melanie has been my friend since we first met during our student days at Furman. I count her as one of my closest college friends and looked forward to being with her for class reunions, especially the Singers Reunions when we once again were young and under the direction of our beloved, Dr. Bing Vick. She was witty, made us laugh with her antics and made our hearts full when she sang so beautifully. She has passed these traits to her four beautiful children and has left a rich and proud legacy. She will be missed!
