Condolence: To the Cavenaugh family, I cannot imagine what you are feeling right now with the news of your mother's passing. It seems unfair, too soon and our hearts break with you. Your mom heroically raised all four of you at a young age and your successes are all a testament to her strength and character. I don't understand God's timing but I do know that you are being surrounded by love and prayer. Your mom was an amazing woman and she will continue to live on through you. Thinking of you and surrounding you with prayers and love.

Condolence: She touched the lives of both of my girls and made a huge impression! Not only was she a wonderful voice teacher, she was also a great listener and advisor. I enjoyed several deep conversations myself with Melanie...she will truly be missed. I am also great flu to her for raising such wonderful children. Cara has shown many of Melanie's characteristics as a friend and confidant to my daughter! Bless this family and thank you Lord for Melanie's presence in our lives.

She will always be looking over all of her students, friends and family. We love you Mrs. Cavanaugh.

Condolence: Melanie has been my friend since we first met during our student days at Furman. I count her as one of my closest college friends and looked forward to being with her for class reunions, especially the Singers Reunions when we once again were young and under the direction of our beloved, Dr. Bing Vick. She was witty, made us laugh with her antics and made our hearts full when she sang so beautifully. She has passed these traits to her four beautiful children and has left a rich and proud legacy. She will be missed!
