Obituary for Thomas A. Patterson III

Thomas A. Patterson III (Pat), went home to be with the Lord at the age of 71. He is survived by his wife Dorthy Gene Willis-Patterson (Geni) and her daughters Kari, Samantha, and Julia Willis, grandson James Riddle, Brothers Jack Chism, Gary Patterson and his wife Mary, Sisters Cheryl Travis and her husband Chris, Terry Benner and her husband David, Sandy Reed and her husband Ted, and Linda Gay and her husband Drew . He is preceded in death by his father Thomas A. Patterson II and his mother Mary Jones-Chism-Patterson. Pat was a veteran. He proudly served in the Army from 1961 to 1970. Pat worked for Metro for 25 years. He retired in 2005. Pat had special place in his heart for cats and spoiled them rotten. He enjoyed building HO model trains and learning about railroad history. Pat also liked woodworking projects around the house and marksmanship. He loved his family dearly and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be greatly missed.
