Obituary for Jesse Arvest Forbus Sr.

Jesse Arvest Forbus Sr , joined Carpenter Union 213 in Houston at the age of 17. He then joined The Marines, but The Army drafted him before he was sworn in. Subsequently, he became a Disabled Veteran of The Korean War.

After being Honorably Discharged from The Army, he went back to the 213 Carpenter Union and remained a member until the time of his death. Jesse was also a member of the Carmen Local Railroad South Pacific, from which he retired in 1992 for health reasons.

Above all, Jesse loved his family and community. For twelve years and until his health no longer permitted, he took pride in and worked hard to maintain the swimming pool at Rock Creek Forest Community.

Jesse was an avid hunter and fisherman and it was with great pride and joy that he was able to pass this legacy on to his children and grandchildren.
