Obituary for
Ashley Fayne Boyd
Ashley Fayne Boyd, 72, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 26, 2014. He was born on December 8, 1941 in Port Sulphur, Louisiana to Lewis Radford Boyd and Elaine Doucie Rousselle who both precede Ashley in death. He met and married the love of his life, Alice Annette King on October 24, 1964. They lived in the Houston area for over 48 years. Mr. Boyd retired after 48 years as an Engineer at Kellog Brown & Root.
He was also preceded in death by brothers, Radley Boyd, James Robert Boyd and Bobby Joe Boyd; and great-grandson, Avery Allen Armstrong.
He is survived by his loving wife, Alice Annette Boyd; children, Anne Tyson (Bobby), Susan Lay, Kassandra Bowman (Greg), Christopher Boyd (Amy); siblings, Raymond Boyd, Lewis Boyd, Mary Beth Scallion (Mark), Willy Boyd (Wanda), Sandra King (Larry), Gale Swartz (Phil), Donald Boyd; sisters-in-law, Suzanne Boyd, Gail Boyd, Darlene Boyd 7 grandchildren, John Armstrong, Tod Lay, Amanda Gentry, Tory Lay, Brandon Morton, Christian Craddock and Chance Boyd; 5 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great grandchildren; numerous other relatives and a host of loving friends.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 1, 2014 at Rosewood Funeral Home Humble. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Rosewood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Milton Pool. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
Ashley was a dedicated loving Christian man who loved his family, and especially his Lord. We grieve for the loss of his presence, yet rejoice knowing we will see him again someday. He was affectionately known by his family as Most Honorable Grandfather, King of Many Hats, The Most Interesting MAN in the World, Ash-Ash Baby, and Daddy-O on the Patio.
