Condolence From: Keith Ponish
Condolence: I remember her fondly from the time Bob & I worked for Humble Oil Co. in Friendswood District. In particular I recall the time she showed us the garbage disposal (which was the first one I had seen)in their new house in town (Jean & I still lived in Humble's camp). Then later I remember she got her finger caught in the disposal! I felt sorry for her but it taught me a lesson I never forgot...and have been careful of them ever since. Carol and all of her family are in my prayers this day.
Best Regards,
Keith Ponish

Condolence: Since Andy's death in 2011, I moved to be close to my daughter Sharon Galloway McCowin. Travel is difficult for me,and became difficult for Bob and Carol, but phone calls and cards never stopped Carol from keeping in touch. Having met Bob and Carol in Sumatra, Indonesia in 1956 when Bob and Andy worked for Humble Oil.What wonderful friends we became and a lifetime friendship did it become. You will be missed Carol and will always remember your smile and your love of family.

Condolence: Becky Pounds just found me after trying so hard to let me know of her Mom' death. This is a great characteristic of The Pound Famiy, never give up trying.
I first met Mr. and Mrs. Pounds in Sumatra, Indonesia in the 50's. I am 60 years old and still can't get my lips to call them by Bob and Carol. Like family Mr. and Mrs. Pounds were famiy to me and always great support for my parents, Andy and Skeets Galloway. When Daddy died 11-14-11 both Mr. and Mrs. Pounds came to Rosewood Funeral Home to remember Daddy. Even in illness, they never gave up trying. I will miss you. Thank God for giving us memories to continue remembering their wonderful lives.

Condolence: Our sincere condolences go out to the Pounds family on the loss of Carol. We first met Bob and Carol in 1973, in a place called Kota Kinabalu in Borneo. They not only became friends but were a tremendous help to us, laying out a trail for us to follow, as we were settling into a place several of us would live and work for the coming 5 years. They both are missed not only by family but their many friends as well. God Bless.

Condolence: I loved your mother!
It's hard to believe 44 years have gone by since I met the wonderful Pounds family. So much of my childhood revolves around memories of your mother and all of you! One of my favorite times is when she would load up some of you girls in the MG and you all would come over in the afternoon so our moms could visit and have a cold beer. Your mom would take us for a ride in the neighborhood and I thought it was so great that she'd let me sit up on the back of the car!
Port Dickson, Easter Egg hunts, Fish pond cleaning...the list goes on and on.

Condolence: Cindy,
My condolences on the loss of your mother. She and Bob were two of my favorite people.
I often think of some of our shared experiences when we both worked for Humble Oil Co. in the Friendswood district office.
I remember well when Carol got her finger caught in her garbage disposal. What an experience!
