The Man I Loved,
Joe Wesley Helms, 65 years young.
His heart was always in the moment, he existed to Live another day of life to the fullest.
Joe told me how he and his dad would work on cars, cars, cars... And the cars that came and went through his life... He took great pride in his cars.
Economics lead him to motorcycles and like the cars he lived to ride and Ride We Did!
Joe and I met because we shared the same passions. I loved him passionately and that love will carry on.
Motorcycles were Joe's enjoyment and in life. Life threw us a curve a few years back, he could no longer ride the endless hours we were accustomed to. This was a hard turning point in Joe's life and hard on his pride. As the oldest, Joe was independent, self sufficient and like his Dad very strong.
Just recently "New Hope" had surfaced. The kids bought a country place. Joe was so proud of them. Helping them see their dream for a "weekend get-a-way" gave him back the drive he knew he still had in his heart..... and this is where he is today.
He will always be in my life. He was my Friend, my Husband, my LOVE.
